Afionas is one of the oldest villages of Corfu, rich in history and culture. It is built on a promontory rock overlooking Agios Giorgis bay. It is a village with character, with colourful stone houses and the most spectacular views of the North West Coast and the Diapontian islands.

You may if you wish to enjoy a twenty-minute mountainside hike down to the twin beaches of Porto Timoni, or enjoy the views of this bay from up above, at a shorter ten-minute hike. If you’d rather take it easy, you can sit back and enjoy the open-sea landscape from the village itself.

Our next stop is the beach of Agios Giorgis, a three-kilometre golden sand beach enclosed within an amphitheatrical verdant landscape that contrasts the multiple shades of blue of the transparent sea waters. It is one of the most picturesque beaches on the island of Corfu, and here we stop for a refreshing swim or dining.
